               Ophelia was used to having almost all the information she needed on her wrist. However since she arrived in Hive City the Pip-Boy was just dead weight on her arm. Still wearing it was old hat; and she kept at it with the hopes she could at least pick up a radio single and listen to some Dean Martin. He could always lay down some hot licks. What was most frustrating however was the lack of her map. She was so used to knowing exactly where she was in the entirety of the former United States of America. Now she was flying blind in a city, in god knows where. It just didn’t jive with her, not one bit.

               As a resourceful woman Ophelia did not get her down. It was useful to live in a world with a functional library. At least that’s what they were called in the books she did manage to get her hands on. Literary ventures weren’t that popular where she was from.

               Spread out on a café table was both a map of The United States and Hive City. The geographical landscape was far from her own. She stared at the map only to notice on Illinois there was a city named ‘Chicago.’ So used to having a companion at her side; she couldn’t help but talk to herself since she arrived. Always a bit disappointed when no one answered. “Well ED-E I’ll be damned. So that is what a Chicago is….That was what was there before The Great War, before the nuclear attack. This United States is so strange. It is really old though…It is only from 2016. How strange. Why wouldn’t they have a more current map?” Her button nose wrinkled in disapproval as she packed her cigarettes against the palm of her hand.
