Hating your own writing is part of being a fanfic author. It’s ingrained in us all.

Ugh, I know how you feel though. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve started something and then hit the brakes before I could get halfway done with it (right now it’s on eight). Because of this, I’m not sure I’m the best person to ask for advice. ^_^’

IT does suck when you have this AWESOME idea in your head but the second you try and put it to paper it just... doesn’t come out quite the way you were expecting it to. Or you forgot some important details that made it sound great and you can’t remember what it was. D: It will happen, unfortunately, but do NOT be discouraged. Try sitting back, close your eyes and imagine how you want things to go. Keep something you can take notes with handy so you can jot the ideas down quickly so you won’t forget anything.

But really, just write what you can. Try not to overthink it. Write write write and then leave it alone for a few days and come back to it with a refreshed mind. I can spend hours on a paragraph trying to get it the way I want it to go without success, and yet when I step away for a bit and return to it much later the words that eluded me previously finally come.

Another thing you can do is seek feedback from others if you’re stuck with something.

She’s cold... very cold... from the inside out with her hair as white as snow, her eyes glazed but still as blue as the heart of the ocean, and her skin... her skin is just too pale. She can’t feel... but she knows something tugged her heartstring and it’s not going away. Not for a while. I’m a monster, she thinks. 

And just like Elsa, she’s shutting her sister out. Anna knows how her older sister feels now... to take such drastic measures to protect the ones you love. To willingly get away from those you love just so they could be happy. 

In this case, Elsa’s not very happy and every day, she comes knocking to her door. She comforts her, tell her about her day, stories about their Mama and Papa in hopes that it would thaw her frozen heart. Anna doesn’t say much to her, other than ‘go away’, ‘I know you love me’ or, ‘I’m just a monster’. 

Elsa’s patient though. Because in the end, they both know how they’ve felt when they were seperated. 

Oooooooh. Maybe once Elsa struck Anna accidentally, the trolls offered to keep her, teach her to control her powers? Took Anna’s and Elsa’s memories? Both not knowing who “Elsa” is? With Anna the same reasoning from the movie; with Elsa to sort of, free her from her earthly trappings so she can focus on her magic. She grows up with the trolls and Kristoff as her only family, learns how to control her magic and is happy... mostly. Aside from a hollow longing that’s been there ever since she can remember.

And then when Anna’s 15 and her parents die, she goes to the enchanted forest to find a way to bring them back. Cue getting lost, almost getting eaten by wolves, and stumbling upon the lair of some sinister fae who says they can bring her parents back but she has to stay there forever? She gets scared and runs and runs into the valley of the living rock, which she was looking for in the first place. The first person she meets is Elsa, and they feel like they know one another. The trolls had promised to give Elsa her memories back when she could control her powers, but they never did - some because they loved her too much and didn’t want her to leave, some because they thought giving her her memories back would make her lose control, or get really angry with the trolls. 

Grand Pabbie tells Anna that there’s no way they can bring her parents back to life, that Kristoff would guide her back home because the forest is dangerous. Anna thinks they’re lying (they are being shifty because of Elsa) and ditches Kristoff to find her way back to the fae who promised her they could return her parents to the living. Elsa, who was following behind Kristoff and Anna, runs to save her, brings her back to the trolls who are like “well we can’t restore your parents but we can give you back your family” and return Anna and Elsa’s memories about being sisters.

the writers fucked up badly... i cant even talk about the 100 to my friends without freaking out and getting angry - and they’re also pretty angry about the writers too. and it makes me even angrier and confused since apparently, they’re queerbaiting the viewers. if you’re planning on watching the 100... just dont bother. its not worth the heartbreak. im only two episodes behind and i already know what happened since this morning, so i wont be watching those episodes (even if there was a clexa sex scene) or the rest of it, if they’re not planning on bringing her back. 

and yes, they’ve shocked us. but they’ve just gone too far. i couldn’t even go on tumblr via mobile anymore without seeing gifs and... other things and it just makes me want to cry (and i nearly did in front of my friends while they go through the number one trend which is the 100, ranting about the stupid ass decision from the writers). 

ive been having major anxieties ever since one of the major character died in season 2 and feared that it’d happen again, and it fucking did. my favorite character too. for the whole day, ive been thinking about it, unable to concentrate in class, and i still am, trying not to get overwhelmed. theyve fucked up so badly that they’re causing people to get panic attacks. 

if their only excuse was to get a reaction, they’ve done it. they’ve got a bunch of negative reactions. so bravo writers. and fuck you.
