The parallel of the good-bye kisses: Rose kissing Shane outside the restaurant, Svetlana kissing Ilya in Russia after the confrontation with Ilya's brother. I gnash my teeth about that parallel. The 'I love you, I want you to be happy,' kiss with a hint of sadness that it wasn't them. But mostly just a really heartfelt send off. The sweetness. The kindness. The melancholy.

There are a lot of people on this app who are going to say the right things to you. That does not mean they are right in all things.

If the person you follow tries to demonize a demographic, particularly a marginalized one, they're bad. Yes, even if they validate you and your experiences.

I'm not talking about holding people accountable for shitty deeds, political ideologies or social views.

I mean a demographic, and you know exactly what I mean by that.

Healing is a minefield. Finding people to support you is hard. And it's really devastating when you find out a person who filled your cup is actually on the wrong side of history.

But don't let your pain cause you to hurt others who are vulnerable.

Don't let them take another piece of you.
