YEAH. i don’t understand it, i don’t get it. you have an amazing actor happy to carry a big chunk of your show on his back for however many years, you have him and freaking angela bassett absolutely obliterate basically any other soap opera couple together, other shows would kill to have at least a fraction of that for themselves, and one day you wake up and you’re like. you know what would make this show better ☝️ let’s kill off peter krause’s character. because real firefighters die sometimes! so let’s make that fucking ridiculous! god. i genuinely don’t give a shit what the original plan was, if there ever was anything different to it, if peter wanted more money or something or whatever. because the end result is THIS: the weirdest fucking sendoff of a main character in the history of modern television that i can think of. everything that happened was in such a bad taste, especially if they were genuinely planning to keep him dead all along and alobby was never a part of the plan. and i feel sorry for him and i feel sorry for the rest of the cast, and to be honest i feel really sorry for us. none of it needed to happen the way it did and nobody deserved this awkward unclear weird confusing sort of fog surrounding his departure from the show. if they knew the whole time that they were killing him off for real, was it really impossible to treat both the character and the actor AND the audience with some respect, lol? and like. if peter wanted to leave or if tim had some sort of vision for dead bobby that he just couldn’t let go of… there was a way to do it without basically pissing on everyone involved. even if ghost bobby keeps popping up or if they randomly decide to bring him back to life and peter says yes to that, everything that happened is still going to suck. yikes!
