This is the reason I no longer publish fanfictions that I’m yet to complete because I hate it when things like this happen. However, I have planning to finish this one off eventually, but yeah, sorry for people who’ve been waiting.

it’s been four months, but chapter five of a distant lullaby (underneath the shattered sky) is now up, if anyone is still interested...

2. Which scene was your favourite to write in ‘From Now On’?
Looking back on it, it’s the scene in Homecoming where Tony rushes to Coney Island and worries that his son might be hurt or injured. It includes his inner monologue of the downside of being a parent, how he will always constantly worry about Peter, no matter what. I am not a parent, so I used my experiences with my little brother to describe how Tony felt. I purposefully set up the fact that a few chapters after this, Peter dies on Titan.Â
‘Tony did not have fond memories of Coney Island, which he found poetically aggravating. The first time Tony took Peter there, changed his perspective of being a father forever. It was the moment that sparked the fear that every decent parent feels, and the feeling never goes away. When you experience it for the first time, it just stays with you, until you die. A dull ache that constantly lies in the pit of your stomach that will sometimes become indescribably painful. The fear of losing your child. It’s a universal fear and one that people do not allow their hearts to dwell on for too long. Although, it’s the epitome of being a parent, the constant reminder that life is fleeting, and you must hold onto your child as tight as you can, so they don’t slip away, but you also have to make sure you don’t smother them.’Â
10. What are some facts readers may not know about ‘A Distant Lullaby’?
I prefer this fanfiction to ‘From Now On.’ That might sound a little shitty but I do feel that way. I love ‘From Now On’ but it was my first big fanfiction, and I made a lot of small annoying mistakes along the way that tainted the project for me a little. I think with this one, I know what I’m doing and that is making it an enjoyable experience
