I feel guilty for even listening to this ;(
12.07.10
23 songs on this playlist because I turned 23 this month. Theyāre all pretty much slow to mid-tempo, mostly indie pop and alternative. The tempo of the songs picks up closer to the end. Basically a chill April playlist thatās overall relaxing. (Links on artists are to YouTube; only official stuff is linked.)
1. Au Revoir - OneRepublic
2. Northern Wind - City and Colour
3. The Scientist - Coldplay
4. Oh Mamma - Justin Nozuka
5. Silhouette - Owl City
6. Painting the Roses Red - A Cursive Memory: I still miss this band and Iām still sad that they broke up. But at least we have the two albums.
7. Partizan Hope - Taro Umebayashi
8. Atlas: Body - Sleeping at Last
9. Mothās Wings (stripped down version) - Passion Pit
10. Teen Heat - Kimbra
11. SOCAL - Kory Bard
12. The Less I Know the Better - Tama Impala
13. Calling - Neonheart
14. Brazil - Declan McKenna
15. Chandelier -Pvris
16. Magnets - Disclosure ft. Lorde
17. Cocoon - Milky Chance
18. This Love - Maroon 5
19. Smile - Mikky Ekko
20. Chained to the Rhythm - Sam Tsui
21. Give Me A Try - The Wombats
22. How I Want Ya - Hudson Thames ft. Hailee Steinfeld
23. Hurricane - Halsey
I normally donāt compile a music list to this extent, but itās been a little while and Iāve been listening to so much stuff while writing four essays. And Iām also trying to procrastinate with this take-home final, so I thought I would just use this as an excuse.
The Essay Writing Playlist:
1. Fences - Phoenix
2. Armistice - Phoenix
3. Over and Over - Miike Snow
4. Hold Back the River - James Bay
5. Buzzcut Season - Lorde

Hi again! Here we have a poster from an Automatic Loveletter tour, humorously titled the āAlmost Have A Tour Bus Tourā, which took place in early 2009. Itās another sad example of a line-up, where every band has called it quits for a long time. Automatic Lovetter was a pretty well known pop rock back then, mostly thanks to their wonderful singer, songwriter and guitarist Juliet Simms. They had already gathered quite a lot of fans back then thanks to their 2007 EPĀ āRecoverā and should top that success the year after that by releasing their debutĀ āTruth Or Dareā. A Cursive Memory were a pretty sweet pop rock band, who landed a fairly decent hit calledĀ āEverythingā in early 2008 and released their debut full-lengthĀ āChangesā shortly after. Powerpop act The Friday Night Boys had already generated some buzz with their first three EPās but it wasnāt until summerĀ ā09 that they crashed into the mainstream with their debut LPĀ āOff The Deep Endā and hit singlesĀ āStupid Love Letterā andĀ āStutteringā... god, I miss them. I donāt know much about Tickle Me Pink, except that they released their first studio albumĀ āMadelineā in fall 2007 and that their bassist died of heroin overdose in 2008. They played some decent emo/alternative rock and their singleĀ āTypicalā is actually pretty sweet.
Whoever illustrated this, clearly wanted to go for some hippie-inspired art, which is pretty obvious regarding the watercolored background, the twisted font and the desiredĀ ātour busā in the middle. It looks like a decommissioned city bus, rather than the famous Volkswagen bus, but anyway. I like the design, the colors are beautiful and the abstract floral thing behind the bus looks gorgeous. I also love those cute little guys running after the vehicle.
I fucked with this songĀ
I had to be the middle man to get into your head A step into the room, we're on the corner of your bed Don't waste your time, getting to the point Accept this journey striaght into the sunset They'll never hear from you 'cause you're goddamn perfect So what a suprise, it's all in her eyes When diamonds are a girl's best friend I have to cure this fever, we're all drowning in my sweat Girl, don't forget to smile I've been longing way too long and this all makes me nervous The greatest loss for my time, I knew this wasn't worth it Hey you, it's always about you Hey you, it'll always be about you So what a suprise, it's all in her eyes When diamonds are a girl's best friend I have to cure this fever, we're all drowning in my sweat Girl, don't forget to smile
Hey you it's always about you (This summer you'll be jealous)
I don't want to be the middle man to get a front row seat I'll be your royalty if you want to be my queen Don't take your time trying to decide I'll take over this entire city It'll never be the same if you're not here with me
Well what a suprise, it's all in her eyes When diamonds are a girl's best friend You'll have to cast me aside, I dont wanna live with the regret
They'll always hear from you, you're so goddamn perfect But baby all the boys say that you're not worth it This summer, you'll be jealous
