A few years ago my best friend and I were having “one of those days”. So to cheer us up, we went on a date to the quaint downtown of where we were living at the time to grab some coffee and browse some of our favorite boutiques. Carmel lattes in hand, we made our way into a store with a small book display in the very back- nothing out of the ordinary. As we both picked up She…, we simultaneously began to cry. In the store. No shame. The words of the pages filled our hearts with joy and seemed to relate to our lives so much at the time. Two copies were purchased for each other on the spot and we spent the year referencing the quotes and encouraging each other from that precious and sweet moment we’ll remember as best friends for the rest of our lives.
This week, I’ve been loving browsing through this book daily. I have gifted it to the women closest in my life and will continue to do so. It’s encouraging, uplifting, and just hits the spot. Words are powerful. And when they stick, they stick for good. And that my friends, is a beautiful thing.
