I know positivity isn’t everything and that no emotions are good or bad. I know I used to have this outlook, though, that the world was against me and that every ounce of good came with the impending doom of a hurricane. It’s in those quiet moments, though, those waiting periods before the arrival of the hurricane, that I’ve seen the kindness the world wants to deliver to me. It just took the mindset to arrive at that realization. Positivity isn’t everything. In fact, it can be quite invalidating to the pain your heart feels and is allowed to feel. Sometimes, though, it just takes that opening of the mind for good things to see that the world isn’t actually against us. It wants to be in our favor. It just can’t always be. Sometimes it has to be in the favor of others that need it more.
These days, I’m just at a standstill.
But have I been really feeling this now? Not really. I think this is how I have been feeling for a long time.
I’m at a standstill. No motion. No progress.
Being at a crossroad is better than being at a standstill.
Being at a crossroad actually means you have choices, after all.
