Hens sweater is absolutely everything to me - such an epic choice by the wardrobe team - they are really not missing a beat this season at all!! the Celtic knots are such a very loud choice. They are generally held to mean infinity and the unending cycle of life - eternity. But they are also a symbol of friendship and loyalty. the knot we see on Hens outfit is commonly know as a Solomons knot and it holds to the meaning of eternity. However in African culture - it is often found on the clothing of the Yoruba people where it denotes royal status, and on the people of the Kuba, it has a very different meaning, it is known as the Kramo bone symbol and means "one being bad makes all appear to be bad"

The duality of meanings is fascinating to me - I think the jumper is signalling Hens unending love for Chimney as her friend, but also hints at her reservations about Maddie - that idea of one being bad makes all bad is pretty interesting in the context of the other clip we have - the idea that Hen isn't convinced about Maddie because she 'abandoned' Chimney and Jee once. it hints at Hen making sweeping decisions or forming an opinion based on one thing rather than seeing the whole picture - its playing into the idea that Hen has her blinkers on and that she doesn't actually have all the facts about things.

I really cannot wait to see how this plays out because its both in character and out of character for Hen to be behaving in this way - I say in character because of what she says in 'Stuck' about Chim being allowed forgive and move on while she gets to hate Tatiana forever!!
