Really is fucking epic and awesome and kino that I get all my Xenoblade Switch 2 editions and Xenoblade 4 announced in the same day, we've already learned MC is called Eleanor and I'm already getting to enjoy cute fanart of her, truly life is worth living

I'll need to do a full game playthrough again to really get an opinion on them but the Ether Jets in Xenoblade 1 sure seem weird. I think they're legitimately really fun to use and I enjoy the content created for them and I think they'll be a fun way to re-experience the game for people that have played it a lot like me, good for speedruns and new game plus and other stuff. But they seem like honestly a little too much for a new player lol. The traversal speed is so ludicrous and you get them so early that I feel like it'll break a lot of what interesting level design 1 genuinely does have, and not that 1 isn't without its goofy moments anyway but it's maybe tonally a little bit too out of sync lol. I don't know how much I care personally because again I've played the game before these issues don't really affect me as such but I feel like if I'm telling a friend to play Xenoblade 1 or something for the first time I'm probably telling them not to use the bikes, you know?

For the record already bought the Xenoblade 1 Switch 2 upgrade (it's downloading) and preordered the other 2, I will almost certainly grab all the physicals as well lol

Fantastic direct for me because of Xenoblade stuff and some good 3rd parties I'm interested in checking out but kind of weird beyond that.

I'm glad Zelda is moving away from the Wild era finally and this new art direction is certainly something but I cannot lie an Ocarina of Time remake is just fundamentally boring to me. I'll buy it but I want something genuinely new from this franchise.
