Holy Jezapel! I just had a snowstorm today, so now I'm cooped up inside! Oh well, time to do another Simpsons summary...

Blackboard Gag: "I Will Not Xerox My Butt." Or, in some other broadcasts, "It is Potato, not Potatoe."

Couch Gag: The Simpsons rush into the living room and sit on the couch, which unfolds into a hide-a-bed.

The episode begins with Bart and Lisa fishing at a river near the Nuclear Power Plant.

 Newspaper reporter Dave Shutton arrives and asks the kids if they caught anyting, and Lisa says no. However, at that moment, Bart catches something!

When the three examine Bart's catch, they notice something peculiar about the fish: It has three eyes!

 Shutton then notices the Nuclear Power Plant in the distance. The next couple of days, the story about the fish is found all over the newspaper headlines. At the breakfast table, Marge says that their govenor, Mary Bailey should do something about the Power Plant's pollution controls. Homer on the other hand, doesn't care much about that nonsense, and heads off to work.

At work, some inspectors visit the plant. The plant is terribly managed, and Burns makes up dumb excuses about the bad management.

 Eventually Burns attempts to bribe the inspectors, but they don't take it. They warn him that he better make the plant better or the government will shut it down. When Burns finds out that the costs of uplifting the plant is high, he falls into depression.

Mr Burns:

Homer notices that Burns isn't himself, so he asks what's wrong. Burns tells Homer his predicament, and Homer replies that he mentioned to his wife that if he were government, then things would be different. This then gives Burns the idea to run for governor himself.

When Marge hears the news about Burns running for governor, she is not pleased. She insists that she's sticking with Mary Bailey, but Homer says he's a Burns voter just because he doesn't want to get fired. Meanwhile, Burns' men help him change his image.

When the people of Springfield hear that Burns is running for governor, the reaction is mostly negative. However, when Burns' campaign ad plays on TV, a lot of Springfieldians have decided that he might be a good governor. However, Marge is still for Bailey. This starts political tension among The Simpsons house.

Meanwhile, Burns' cronies spy on Bailey, and they don't have much success on finding any negative traits about her. But the good news is a lot of people see him as imperial and god-like. More bad news though, is that he's losing touch with normal people.

To touch up on that, Burns invites himself to The Simpsons house to dinner the night of the election. Marge does not want this to happen, so Homer has to beg to let her allow it. Marge eventually gives in, and the house is plastered with Burns posters and his advisors prepare them for dinner tomorrow. That night, Marge is still mad because she doesn't get to express herself. However, Homer makes her feel better by saying she can express herself by serving the food.

On the night of the dinner, Burns' advisors all touch up the family (even the pets),

 and Homer gets a set of eyebrows, which make him look like Gerald from "Finding Dory." See the resemblance?

Anyway, another advisor tells the advisor that did Homer's makeup to take it off him.

Eventually, Mr Burns arrives to the house. Santa's Little Helper greets him, but Homer tells the dog to stay back. However, Mr Burns says he's okay, he loves pets and babies. Then Maggie and Snowball II join in the fun.

Good news for Burns: He's ahead 51-49. Probably because of his latest feat with the Simpson pets and Maggie.

When dinner begins, Burns is greatful to be eating with the family, despite their rude manners. One of Burns' plans for governor is to lower taxes, which is why he got a lot of voters.

When the main course comes in, Marge lifts the lid off, revealing... a three eyed fish! Awkward!

Anyway, Burns takes a single bite out of it but... he spits it out!

 The reporters get the photo at the exact moment! Well, that escalated quickly!

Anyway, thanks to the dinner fiasco, Burns loses the election. Homer feels guilty, but Marge makes him feel better by saying, "when a man's biggest dreams include seconds on dessert, occasional snuggling and sleeping in til noon on weekends, no one man can destroy them." This cheers him up, and all is well.
