“The only reason third parties can’t win is that no one votes third party because no one thinks third parties can win!”
Alright. So tell me: in the two years since the last round of elections, what have you done to change that?
Have you advocated for changing the way voting works in this country to something less systematically biased against third parties? Have you gotten involved in the internal politics of whichever of the major parties you find less repugnant in order to bring them closer to your stance? Hell, have you told your friends and family and neighbors about your party and what it stands for?
Or is your plan simply to go to the poles this November, throw your vote away on a useless protest candidate, pretend that the results aren’t your fault, and then have the absolute gall be shocked that putting in the literal minimum of effort you possibly could have while still maintaining any illusion of political relevance didn’t yield good results for the causes you pretend you support?
