He does that thing you always see in movies, where the person’s waiting in the airport (landing bay in this case) with a lil cap and sign
He specifically worked overtime and then took the time off so he could be there to pick you up and catch up without the stress
Meets you halfway when you’re getting off the ship and takes the heavier of your equipment from you
Chatting and joking and flirting because Jack’s That Bitch the entire way back to your quarters
He takes your work equipment to put away while you unpack your personal things and clean up
When the two of you reconvene, he tries to make a plan to go out for lunch or a drink and catch up more
He’ll pout and grump around until you agree
Immediately turns into a happy puppy when you eventually give in
He pays for everything, and walks you back at the end of the day like the gentleman he is
Y’all be talking and snacking for hours until then, though
Gabriel Reyes
He’s waiting in the landing area for you
He’s not allowed to be there? Fuck you, he’s not moving
He’s waiting for someone important
He’s probably found and collected your equipment already, so the two of you can leave and go chill somewhere immediately
When you get off the ship, he books it over to give you a big ole hug
Asks you how everything went, makes sure you’re not too badly cut up and don’t need to go to the med bay, especially if it was a particularly dangerous mission
You try to go get your stuff but boom, he’s already got it waiting
He probably kept in contact with you the entire time you were gone, and when he heard you were coming home he whipped up one of the ideas the two of you had talked about
He’s got a ride back to your quarters ready and everything
Lets you take as long as you need to clean up and unpack and everything
If you decide you’re tired and don’t want to go anywhere, he’s got you
He turns whatever plans he originally had into something smaller and more casual
The rest of the day is spent in your quarters, chilling and catching up with the occasional touch and attempt at flirting on Gabe’s end
Gabe probably gets yelled the next day for slacking off, but he doesn’t mind all that much
