#MondayMotivation Today marks the beginning of #757UnityWeek in celebration of #BLM757's 5th anniversary. Yesterday we attended rallies in #Richmond #Norfolk & #VirginiaBeach. The most important rally we attended was the #StopTheViolence rally in #Norfolk at the scene where 4 teenagers were shot on Friday. We must take a stand against community violence. I was blessed with the opportunity to speak. This event was put together by the Stop The Violence team out of Norfolk alongside several other community-influenced groups. @norfolkpd Chief Boone & and @cityofnorfolkva Mayor Kenny Alexander were in attendance because they actually care about the wellbeing of their community, and we will be glad to partner with them to make the #757 the BEST part of #Virginia. Healthy dialogue amongst elected officials, and community organizers are keen. #BLM757 will be launching its community violence initiative this year. We will be showing our community ways to express their frustrations, without resulting to violence.
