Scenes from last night in Chicago. The CPD kettled protesters exercising their 1st Amendment right in the street of mayor Lori Lightfoot’s home. The police attacked unarmed civilians with tear gas, batons, and a tank. At least 2 protesters were run over by a cop, no known fatalities. (twitter source, 7.19.20)

This morning I had dinner with my best friend and his dad, and then had a heartfelt-yet-joyful goodbye. Then I spent some remaining time with my family before leaving. It kind of felt weird, knowing that I was leaving, but I was ready.

Traveling today was... okay. My first flight was superr rough (I almost puked 😣) and the DIA is always super packed and kind of stressful; I don’t really like the energy there lol. But the second flight was actually okay!! It was a brand new plane, and I watched Moana on the flight, which I love. And I didn’t feel sick at all! 

Coming into Oregon was kind of emotional for me. I love it here soo much. As much as I enjoyed visiting my hometown, this is definitely home for me. The energy just felt so right and soothing coming in. It was beautiful too, flying over the hills and the city as the sun set - the sky was a spectacular array of colors, I wish I could’ve taken a picture but I was sitting in the aisle. 

Anyways, this trip has been a massive set of challenges and lessons for me. I knew that it would be even before I left; I didn’t feel ready for them at all. It was rough, but I learned a lot from it. About myself. I was able to get my shit together. And now, I feel ready. I know what I need to do, and I’m ready to get to work. 

Also, being back is super nice, but it’s soo weird! Like... it’s home, and everything is so familiar, but everything is different now. Everything is so much different now than it was before my trip. But in a very good way.

So now here is where things get interesting. My buddy picked me up from the airport and drove me home. As soon as I got in the car, and for the rest of the car ride, he just dropped some massive bombshells on me. Apparently - and all of this happened when I was gone - he finally gave into his spiritual gifts that he has been fighting off since he was a kid and has had this massive rush of abilities and spiritual experiences. The majority of them are spirit-related, though. He did his first banishment!! I’m super proud. 

But he says that he’s still having some issues, and he wants my help! Wooot I’m excited. I told him that I’m always excited for some casual witchcraft lolol. Anyways, this is going to be a big project but I’m excited for it. I’m going to check out his house, do some spirit work, some cleansing, and then work with him on getting better protections set up and stuff. It’s going to be so fun! 

Also... tomorrow I have some major spirit work to do as well. I need to make some big offerings to Skadi, because I haven’t really been able to do that in my very Mormon household that I was staying at. Also, I haven’t really been able to talk to Prince while I was gone because the connection was super thin. So I have some catching up to do with him as well. AND I need to work with my runes!

Sooo yeah. It’s great to be back, but I’m going to be superr busy. But I’m really excited, and I’m grateful for all of the new opportunities that the Universe has given me.
