Me acuerdo como si fuera hoy del día en que se fue, pero mis mejores recuerdos de MJ tienen que ver con la música. Es verdad que al final sólo queda la música.

Cuando tenía 6 años se me cayó un diente y, en lugar de plata, los ratones me trajeron el casette de Dangerous, porque estaba fanatizada con Black or White. Todavía en pijama me puse a escucharlo por primera vez y lo escuché tantas, que llegué a aprenderme de memoria el librito.

6 years ago today I was on my way to acting class after dance when one of my friends told me that there was a rumor floating around that Michael Jackson had passed away. I thought it was a joke or a silly rumor since the tabloids always love making up stuff about him. I was anxious the rest of the day and all i wanted to do was go home and turn on the news to see if it was true. I heard it on the radio and still refused to believe it. It wasn’t until I got home and turned on the news and I saw his body being taken out of the helicopter that I knew it was true.

i was numb the whole night. I just stayed in my room holding my Bad album while watching the special that MTV was doing. I wanted to cry but I couldn’t. A few days before the 1 year anniversary of his passing, I got my first tattoo which was the HIStory symbol with a few touches to it. I was checking on it in the bathroom when You Are Not Alone was playing. I took one look at it and just started crying. I was crying so bad that I had to hold on the sink to support myself. It hit me that I would never see this man perform alive nor would I ever meet him, a dream of mine since I was 3.
