Agent Keller: Oh, God. Oh, God. 

Elena ‘Yoyo’ Rodriguez: It’s gonna be okay. 

 Agent Diaz: I’ll ready a medevac.  

Elena: Yeah. That thing.. it flew inside him! 

Marcus Benson: Inside of him?  

Keller: In my mouth. - [GRUNTS] I can feel it moving.  

Elena: Sit down. Sit down, try and relax. 

Keller: Really? 

 Yeah. Take your shirt off.

 Keller: Aah!  I can’t turn into that. Do whatever you have to do.

 Benson: We got you.

Benson: It’s growing and attaching itself to his vascular system. 

Elena: Can you un-attach it?

Benson: I can try, but I-I’ve never done anything close to this. 

Elena: So we take him to a hospital. 

Benson: No one in the history of the medical profession’s ever done anything like this. Besides, he doesn’t have that kind of time. 

Keller: [KELLER PANTING, GROANING] It’s, uh probably too fast, but how would you feel about bringing an alien bird into our relationship? So that’s a no. 

Elena: You’re going to be fine. 

Benson: This is a sedative. In your head, if you could count back from 10.

Agent Keller: You got a minute? 

Alphonso ‘Mack’ MacKenzie: Yeah. 

Keller: I know S. H. I. E. L. D. has certain protocols, so in the spirit of full disclosure… 

Mack: I’m gonna stop you right there.  

Keller: Sir?  

Mack: Let’s say you’re here to disclose an interpersonal relationship, theoretically. Well, that means I have to separate teams. People that work well together. When you’re out in the field, you can’t second-guess yourself because you’re working with someone you care about. It can, uh compromise your judgment. 

Keller: Of course. I just thought, in in light of S. H. I. E. L. D. ’s policy on that… 

Mack: I plan to enforce that policy. So, do you believe yourself to be compromised, theoretically?  

Keller: No.  

Mack: Good. 

Elena ‘Yo Yo’ Rodriguez: Mack, we got back… Um, is this a bad time?  

Mack: No, not at all.  

Elena: Um, Benson did a full analysis of the area where Fake Coulson put on the fireworks show. 

Mack: No atmospheric toxicity, didn’t disrupt air traffic, but “trace amounts of statically charged particles”? 

Elena: Suspended in orbit. Eyewitnesses described a pattern in the sky, a grid. So, I was thinking, maybe they were making a map. 

Keller: But the jewelry store, firing off a cannon seems like a lot of trouble if they could just check GPS. 

Mack: You think they’re looking for something. 

Elena: I do. But who knows what it is. ***

Keller: Heard a body came in. We know the cause of death? 

Elena: No, but if they called us, it means it’s not old age. [Keller and Elena get alone in the elevator] So… you and Mack, in his office. 

Keller: Yeah. 

Elena: You told him. I wish you would have talked to me about it. 

Keller: If it makes you feel better, he didn’t exactly let me finish. 

Elena: He doesn’t want to know so he doesn’t have to put us on different missions. 

Keller: I’m sure that’s part of it, but It’s just, I also got the sense that he isn’t over you. 

Elena: Why would you tell me that? 

Keller: You should know how he feels before or if we… You should know. 

Elena: Okay. 

Keller: But to be clear, I’m in. I will fight for you if I have to. Not fight fight Mack terrifies me. But more emotionally fight. 

Elena: Ugh. [CHUCKLES] Always acting so noble. 

Keller: Yeah, I think you like that act. 

Marcus Benson: This is another first for me. 

Keller: Whoa.  

Elena: What happened to him?  

May: They did.

Elena: He didn’t seem to care if he was seen. 

Benson: He only cared about turning this guy into some kind of science experiment. 

Mack: Yeah, we still don’t have an I. D. , but we should have one soon. 

Keller: Report says this guy bought a ticket to Sioux City. That’s a convergence spot for three separate Ley Lines, FYI.

Mack: At this point, I’m not ruling out anything. But Benson, Keller, Rodriguez, we need to find out what happened to this man.

Benson: Well, this is the strangest autopsy I’ve performed since the last one. I mean, who finds a body in a wall? Or a wall in a body? 

Keller: We got our I. D. Meet Harold Simcoe, age 51, reported missing a week ago. Seems he abandoned his family and his job in Sacramento, cut off all contact. Family says he’s never been to Reno, much less Sioux City. 

Elena: So, why was he a target? 

Keller: No idea. He was unremarkable. 

Benson: Well, not anymore. I’m gonna need an assist. The kind of stuff you see. Guess this just must be an average day for you two, huh?  

Keller: Can’t say I agree with you there.

Benson: The, uh, blood panel on our friend Mr. Simcoe yielded some, uh, surprising results. His body is flooded with a neurotoxin, possibly secreted by that alien critter. It’s inert, but highly combustible. Nasty stuff. 

Elena: So, like a poison. 

Benson: More like an accelerant, but I’ve never seen it in a human before, but not dissimilar to the Cordyceps fungus in Amazonian ant populations. I-It turns its host into a self-destructive zombie. 

Keller: Zombie? 

Benson: Well, they’re not not dead. More like they’re being piloted by a parasite that’s taken residency inside. 

Elena: So, Fake Coulson put a parasite in this man. 

Benson: And implanted him with this, [takes off the knife] I guess. 

What the 

Keller: Whoa!  Everybody down! Stay low. 

Elena: Where did it go? ***

Agent Diaz: So… it’s a bird. 

Keller: Well, more like an alien zombie bird. You’ll know it when you see it. 

Elena: And if you do, give me a chance to catch it. I’ll be ready this time.

Keller: It’s all in a day’s work, right? 

Elena: Always noble. Give me a boost.[the shrike hits Keller, he drops Elena] Keller! + Keller and S.H.I.E.L.D. coffee mug

Elena ‘Yoyo’ Rodriguez: Stop. Stop! Stop. Get back. 

Marcus Benson: You just did that. How did you just do that? 

Elena: Just an average day at S. H. I. E. L. D. , right? Can you operate? 

Benson: Well, I’m gonna have to cut into him, and and and he’s conscious. 

Elena: Can you operate?! 

Benson: Yes.

Benson: The anesthesia’s not working. You’re gonna have to hold him still.  

Elena: Okay. I’m right here. Just stay with me.  

Benson: Ow!   

Elena: What happened?  

Benson: He burned me. Oh, his temperature’s through the roof. He should be coding.  

Elena: What are you doing?  

Benson: We’re gonna have to get him into isolation now. If his body’s flooding with that accelerant, a-and he reaches a certain temperature.. 

Elena: Then what?  

Benson: I-I don’t know. W-We’re underground. H-He could take this whole place out. 

Elena: There’s a containment unit on the north end of this hall way. 

Benson: Works for me. - [KELLER GROANING] - 

Elena: Clear the floor! Get out of the way! Keller, hold on. Hold on. 

[BODY THUDS] 

Benson: Don’t touch him! 

Elena: Benson. 

Benson: Get away, as far as you can. Run!
