先々代の昭和天皇も空襲が激しくなった太平洋戦争末期に、疎開を勧められるも「朕は東京に残る。」とおっしゃって東京に残り、それでも当時小学生だった皇太子殿下(=平成の天皇陛下、今の上皇陛下)は日光に疎開させてたという話は聞いたことがありますね。
