Yeah I think that’s meaningful enough to get its own like, big post with a title announcing it and stuff. I very rarely give out 10s but this show is beyond deserving of it, Cardcaptor Sakura was an amazing 70 episodes of pure, utter delight. That they kept up that level of quality on every front, the visuals were always incredible, the characters were characterised consistently strongly, the stories were always goofy, lighthearted fun that knew how to keep a comfy vibe in its scariest moments, that could still tug at your heartstrings in ways that were happy or sad, that character development was done so well and that the plot progression was such that new things could always be learned and yet nothing felt like it came out of nowhere, just the fact that this was such an impressively crafted product, for 70 straight episodes, it’s stunning. I absolutely adored this show, I’ve still got a fair bit of Cardcaptor Sakura left before I’m done, but I can say for sure that I hope to revisit this show, and already I feel like my top 5 is in need of a reshuffling thanks to having completed this masterpiece. There was no hesitation about this score either, from the first episode I was already thinking “8, minimum” and by the time we were halfway through I was already feeling a 10. That second half only served to reinforce that belief, such that I think any lower score just wouldn’t be right, giving this anything less than 10 would be a disservice to the show and a disservice to myself. Giving out a 10 to something, anything, it’s a nice feeling, and it’s a feeling I’m glad this series was able to give me.
