How I feel about this character

I used to have very different opinions on her before I realized what was Actually going on with her character but in short she’s a very good girl and really strong writing on her part. Initially I lamented her writing because I failed to understand her negative depiction in HC2 was a reflection of Charles’s own biases that had little to do with her actual personality, but now I really appreciate her as a character who tried really really hard to save someone she cared about.

See above though I do think had the events of HC not gone the way they had she could’ve had a normal platonic relationship with Charles

My unpopular opinion about this character

Ultimately the False Realm is too stained by Charles’s black and white thinking causing him to either demonize or idolize every person he interacts with and thus her incarnation in the False Realm is too wholly negative to pair healthily with Charlotte.

Also I’ve seen people talk about how her nicknaming of Charlotte as “Charlie” in HC2 could count as a subtle form of misgendering and. Idk? I think it’s a discussion worth having but ultimately while it’s safe to assume that she and Charles have discussed gender before/Anri is explicitly cis I think assuming she was ever knowingly transphobic towards him because she used a very common gender neutral nickname for him and also his self insert is a bit of a stretch especially since Charles shows absolutely no disdain for the nickname (or even just. His actual name/male pronouns)

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
