Just as a heads-up, WotC wants 5eTools GONE with the revocation of the OGL. Many people rely on 5eTools to play the game they love so much. WotC wants to nuke everything that isn't their VTT so that people will pay $30/month to continue their game.

I urge as many people as possible to download the database and host 5eTools locally so they can continue to retain access to the content they "own and paid for."

I may follow up on this with an actual guide to host this locally, but right now, it's going to be a good idea to at least have the database.

Is it just me, or are all the names for the Monster Manual monsters pronounced with the voices of Matt Mercer and Marisha Ray? Because it sounds like them, but also not like they did the recordings for this. Is there just a database of them saying monster names somewhere? Or did someone splice them talking about monsters from various sources and clean up the sound files for this?

FOR CREATING CHARACTERS

Dicecloud  -  The only tool your players will need. I absolutely love Dicecloud. It’s the perfect place to make your character sheets, and if you need any help with it (it can be a bit confusing at first), then there’s an active Discord server with tons of people who are more than willing to help!

Dicecloud Spell Manager  -  Handy tool that lets you add any and all official spells to a character.

5eTools  -  I use this page only for the races resource, but there’s lots more to discover there!

DND 5e Wikidot  -  This one I use for classes, sub-classes, backgrounds, and feats.

D&D Spells  -  Every single official spell is on that page, and you can set different filters for classes and such

FOR NOTES

For creating notes I use a Onenote notebook. Mine is shared with my players, and the sections that have “confidential” information are locked with a password. My players have also created their own sections where they make their own notes. This way, all of our notes are in one place.
