What's your favorite thing about new years?
I honestly hate things like Christmas and New Years but this year was pretty good. I talked to a lot of people and I got to eat cake!! and this time I wasn’t alone in my bedroom waiting for everyone to leave.

Please teach me your baking secrets
practice and trial & error mainly. i’ve been baking since i was little kid and mum pretty much let me take over doing most of the baking when i was like 12.
i’ve memorised a couple of recipes then use those as a base to make whatever i want based on what i have available (e.g. basic muffin/cake base is like a blank canvas you can then add all kinds of stuff to like chocolate or fruit or both or whatever). an important thing to keep in mind is ratios and textures. once you’ve been doing it for a while you can gauge what ratio of ingredients you need to keep the taste and consistency/texture good (taste testing also helps. yum yum)

- When I’m sad I don’t do anything I switch off my phone and go to bed haha :’)
what are some things you do when you can’t sleep?
- I listen to podcasts which usually doesn’t help because then I get interested in the podcast and want to stay up to hear the rest of it oops
what was the best (non-romantic) night you’ve had?
- The best night I’ve had was probably new year’s eve (the same one from the other ask!) when a bunch of friends and I went camping on a farm and had a huge bonfire and then it was pouring with rain but we were just hanging out outside and it was awesome!
what kind of covers do you have on your bed?
- Actually recently I was watching a home movie from 2008 and I realised that I am currently using the same covers that I had in that video which is wild to think that those sheets are still in my cover cycle hahaha
who is the last person you told a secret to?
- if I told anyone it wouldn’t have been a secret ;)

- My first kiss was at a party in front of a fire and it was nice and we were both laughing a lot (i’m still good friends with that person!)

- New year’s eve (technically new year’s day actually because it was 2am) on a farm and it was raining and cold and it was really nice
would you rather watch a sunrise or sunset?
- definitely a sunrise because of how nice it is to be up in the early morning, but I never see it because I can’t get myself to be awake that early :’D
what’s the best thing about summer?
- Being outside (in the shade) in the early afternoon or walking around town!
