#5380 Brasserie La Ferme IPA Brut (Canada) Shouts to @davidplasse for linking mans with this one! La Ferme is a brewery in Shefford, QC, who do pretty much all “farm to bottle”, meaning they grow most of their ingredients on their own land. This is their 7% Brut IPA hopped with Cashmere, a style that I rarely see out east, but this one rocks Kviek yeast. It pours mostly clear with a big head that foams over a touch, the nose is all banana, the mouthfeel is crisp and clean, definitely bone dry, it’s sharply carbonated, tangy, smooth, the Kviek gives it a fun funk that isn’t typical of the style, and it ends in a dusty, dry finish.
