maeve’s   shoulders   lean   the   brick,   arms   lazed   across   her   chest.      she’s   in   full   regalia,   hair   already   curled,   lipstick   re-applied   for   her   interview.      a   framing   hand   shapes   homelander,   who’s   out   with   his   cape   a   CRIMSON   SWOOSH   interspersed   with   the   uniforms   grinning      &      clapping   shoulders.         “      we   caught   the   bad   guy,   didn’t   we?      a   real   happy   ending   for   everyone.      ”         //      STARTER   CALL.   

an  abrupt  knock  on  the  door  signals  her  rather  late  arrival.     she’s  nearly  broken  out  into  a  sweat  now,   and  she  hopes   @51163​   will  at  least  appreciate  how  quickly  she  was  able  to  run  in  heels.   she  holds  an  intense  dislike  for  tardiness  herself,    emanating  a  deep  frustration  within  her  but  nevertheless,   yasemin  musters  up  her  best  apologetic  smile  once  the  door  is  pulled  open.      ‟   hey  handsome,  ”       her  tone  is  sickly  sweet,    syrupy  and  sticky  as  honey.    she  is  an  image  of  both  significant  remorse  and  tainted  innocence  with  her  wide  eyes  and  subtle  pout  of  rosy  lips.   she  crosses  into  threshold  of  his  sanctum,   drawing  nearer  to  him.   one  hand  is  occupied  with  a  concealed  box  she’s  yet  to  bring  to  his  attention,   the  free  hand  lifts  to  brush  the  curve  of  his  cheek  as  she  cranes  her  neck  to  press  a  delicate  kiss  to  his  lips.       ‟  i’m  so  sorry  i’m  late.  i  got  caught  up  at  work.  ”      

“  when exactly did we collectively land on using the term frenemy?  ”  sam frames the question to @51163​ with the hook of her fingertips marking the quotations in the air to match the downturn of her frown.  “  ------  i feel like we could have gone with fremesis, or like ...  rivpal or something that captures the competitive nature of the word.  ” // sc.

hands were tucked into the pockets of her rather light jacket,   for how unforgiving the chicago weather was,   she was more than accustomed.   it’s a calm expression that’s drawn across her pale features,   though she kept aware of their surroundings still.     ❛❛     i know.     ❜❜     bianca’s response was brief and quiet,   and even if she almost sounded defeated,   she kept her composure.     ❛❛     what’s going on?     ❜❜
