So I learned something new off of Tiktok, and I wish I could remember who posted it.
A new 5-second rule we should all be teaching our kids.
If you want to say something about another person's appearance, the 5-second rule asks, âcan that person fix it within 5 seconds?â. If yes, then go ahead and say something.
Examples:
You come across a young lady just coming out of the bathroom and the back of her skirt is accidentally tucked into her panties. The 5-second rule says, yes you can say something. She can fix that in just a moment.
Your good friend has been really down lately because of the quarantine situation and you notice that the last few pictures you received from them (because you are being safe and staying home) she's looking bigger than usual. According to the 5-second rule do you say something about the gained weight? No, you keep that to yourself.
You are at work and you notice that your coworker has a bit of corn between his teeth after coming back from lunch. Yes, say something.
You are riding the subway and sitting next to a very friendly man when you see that his brown skin has white patches on his arm and hands. You remember that it is called vitiligo. No, you don't need to comment on that.
