No, there are no cases that deal directly with police body cameras. One of the major cases that could apply to police body cameras is Katz v. United States. In this case the courts ruled that people in public space have a reasonable expectation of privacy not determined by the public space they occupy but, by what they choose to keep private in public. This Supreme Court case could be used to determine the legality or constitutionality of police body cameras.

Police dash cams were used in the 90’s due to increased complaints of racial profiling by minorities. 20 years later police body cameras were introduced for the same reasons. Cases in Ferguson and Chicago have sparked complaints of shotty police work. ¼ of police departments use body mounted cameras, 80% of police departments are evaluating their use, and studies have shown that they significantly reduce complaints within police departments. The fourth amendment and privacy are synonymous. Police body cameras will record everything during a police officer's shift. People and police officers are concerned that their privacy will be invaded due to the wide range of a video camera.
