đ㠤㠤âşă ¤ă ¤that wasn't what she meant. and he knows that. so rightfully, he earns a glare. đĽđđ§đ¨đŤđ đđ¨đŻđ sinks deeper into her seat at his shiny new victor's house table, thumbs impatiently tapping against the glass of the water HE'S supposed to be drinking in her hands. pinching the inside of her cheek as the brunette casts him a look of you're not serious, holding in all the words she's burning to blurt. but instead he's being cutesy, gently smart mouthin' her. lenore dove deeply sympathizes, she knows what losing a family does to you. lost family of her own, strangers that hurt just as bad as losing blood kin, her own life almost taken from her. haymitch too, almost taken from her.
so 'course she's stoic but she's hurting about all of it, too. hurting at imagining his mother and little brother being took from him, when it wasn't supposed to be this way. she knows. and hurts for them too, even if his ma didn't seem too sure about her. that young woman still had a lot of life to live, she was so youthful and that precious brother of his was just a baby. but coping like this won't lead to nowhere neither, only to wind up in a mess of bigger problems.
she's worried about haymitch and his mental health, where this is leading to, so naturally concern has festered into anger because he's clearly not listening to her. "don't be smart with me, haymitch abernathy. cause you know good and well as i do, swellin' up on alcohol wasn't what i meant about stayin' hydrated. here's what i meant." she holds up the glass of water to him as a reminder, swishing around the clear contents, "this is meant for you." while trying to snatch the cocktail out of his hand with her other. @4bernathy
