So about that new meme going around..
The best thing about the 469er ship is that Tucker flirts with everything that moves but in reality his heart belongs only to the voice over the radio. Who is she...?
*silently plots 469er angst*
469er and Terrible Porn
I'm just sayin' that 479er got really fucking bored one day and Tucker didn't want to get off the line but he didn't have anything to talk about because he was so tired. So, instead of just sitting in silence, she just started reading out loud, the worst passages of this ohgodjesuswept bad erotica novel she found wedged under the desk. And Tucker is just like "penises don't do that." and she's all "I know right?"
And it became a nightly tradition.
You can't persuade me otherwise.

A fic I'd like to see you write is another 469er fic. They are always so painfully good.
Hey, hey, look over here I did a thing
Guys, I did a thing regarding that one headcanon that I submitted to the-meta a while back. If it's terrible, tell me!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So maybe, just maybe, this was a bad idea.
“Nah, I’d strike that line. Doesn’t really fit.”
You tell him this through a slurred voice, only slightly drunk, but enough to get yourself into this shit.
“Aw, you think so? I thought it sounded good, but whatever. This song is still gonna turn out to be SO fucking awesome.”
To clarify, you, Four-Seven-Niner, an esteemed and experienced communications specialist and former pilot for Project Freelancer, are currently sitting in a com-room at the Galactic Federation base at 3 a.m…
“Oh, wait, did we give this thing a title yet?”
…talking to a complete idiot who is currently writing a song about how much of a lady killer he is. Charming, obviously.
“No, not that I can remember. Or a chorus actually.”
But, even though it is VERY unflattering and a little douche-y of him, you have somehow been roped into helping the little cyan-suited blabber mouth…
“Is that a thing that has to happen? Like, do songs require that?”
… and are really enjoying yourself.
“Yes, Tucker, songs usually have a chorus featuring words that are in the title.”
Up to this point, you’ve written almost the entire song together, but still have no idea what those to parts will be like. You wonder, for a moment, how such crucial parts slipped your mind.
“Well, I’ve got nothing.”
You catch your face in your hands. If he wasn’t so damn adorable- you catch yourself in that act, your mind screeching to halt, and you go back to thinking about song lyrics, when something pops into your head.
“What about that stupid catch phrase you always use?”
“What? ‘Bow chicka bow wow’? It’s not stupid, it’s smooth!”
“Yeah, whatever. Why don’t you use that as the title?”
“Oh, that’s a fuckin’ good idea!”
Various scribbling sounds can be heard, Tucker most likely leaning in close to the paper, getting very wrapped up in his little project to help him pass the time. Several minutes pass with the scribbling sounds constant, but no speech from the little spitfire. This continues until you hear him speak up.
“I uh, I think I’ve got it…”
“Wait, like you finished it?”
“Yeah, here, I’ll sing it, you tell me what you think!”
His voice is unbearably excited. When his voice comes, he begins by singing what can only be assumed to be the opening bass line. Funky.
You don’t really get into it until he begins actually singing. The whole time, he’s been singing under his breath, but now, he’s singing in full force, and you don’t think your face has ever been any more red than it is right now. The sound of his surprisingly manly singing voice (rather than his wimpy/whiny voice that you had imagined) was actually making you flustered, to the point where you could barely pay attention, but just giggled like a school girl.
Yeah, it was that bad.
He continued for some time, until he had sung every last not he had come up with in his head, then self-consciously asked:
“Uh, what did you think?”
Composing yourself, you respond.
“I think we’ve got ourselves a song.”
You can hear him give himself a high five, and you have a huge smile on your face because of how much you can tell he wanted your approval. It’s at this point, with him blabbering about how he thinks it will be a number 1 hit on earth, that you finally accept what has been nagging at you for weeks now.
You are Four-Seven-Niner, an esteemed and experienced communications specialist and former pilot for Project Freelancer, and you have desperately fallen for Private First Class Lavernius Tucker.
Static
Let's say 479er was supposed to pick up that day in Sandtrap, when Tucker called asking for back up and Grif picked up instead. Let's say Tucker's always called and 98% of the time it's 479er and she gets things taken care of and 2% it's some asshole taking her nightshift or whatever.
He calls her from the desert. She doesn't pick up. Someone else does.
Naturally this is the day Tucker really needs her.
Imagine that he kept calling her, trying to get through. He didn't know Command was EMP-burnt slag. I wonder if he'd sit there with his back against the temple door, counting down his rations and calculating how long he could hold out with no back up and thinking. "I've got six-seven days until I run out of food... sixty-six... sixty-five... sixty-four..."
Imagine him trying her channel over and over hoping that somehow this time she'd pick up, that anyone would pickup, that any channel anywhere would pick him up and, of course, CT and his crew would pick him up and try to talk him out of the temple, but he'd just flip off that channel and sit there. She doesn't pick up and Tucker sits there listening to the static and wondering what the fuck happened to her and later...
...later he hears about the attack on Command, The Meta, the Reds and the Blues breaking in and taking the place down and he doesn't say anything. He just keeps quiet because he cant bring himself to ask Wash or the others or even ask himself because he's too scared off the asnwer but...
On their way in or out -- did they shoot a radio girl?
