We were walking in the misty rain and we stopped in front of a mass of branches with wide pointed leaves. They were all dawned with crowns of dew, each one arranged differently than the other and my eyes were filled by this family of small royals that hung so still from their branches. And suspended in between them, higher up, there was a spider’s web, filling the empty space, blessing the empty space, breathing in it. Drops of dew hung along the invisible threads, constellations of soft, swollen jewels. A small miracle for my human eyes. They opened me to the wonder...is this the way the stars arrange themselves in the heavens? Is this the way I have come to find myself standing here next to my sister? How I have come to be standing in front of this wild treasure, witnessing it with her? Is this how anything comes to be arranged in our lives? In existence?
Could it be that, in a pair of eternal eyes, we are dew drops ourselves, existing within a crown, a constellation, along a fateful design of invisible threads ?
