So today is Sanji's birthday and it's very necessary for me to write a bunch of things about it since he's so lovely and one of my favourite characters.
He didn’t even expect the crew to remember his birthday, every years since his arrival at Baratie he’s sincerely surprised when others remember it, so it’s not like he’s sad when no one seems to remember.
They land on an island and he goes to buy new food for the crew, Nami insists for Zoro to accompany him so it took a lot of time to be back since they fought a lot and the swordsman got lost.
When he’s back he discovers that Nami and Usopp personally baked him a birthday cake and everyone else prepared him a surprise party. He almost cried on the spot. (it works every years perfectly and he remain just as surprised every times)
Of course the cake is one of Zeff's recipes that the chef passed to them.
So he’s the birthday boy and the party gets drunk and everything is fine and then it’s time for the present.
Luffy gift him an handmade birthday card and a whole jar full of cool things he likes (rocks with funny shapes, shell, leaf of bright colors and so on)
Zoro gift him a new bunch of spices and and a new cooking knife (he’s the only one that noticed that the spices were almost finished and the knife got ruined by Luffy’s attempt to cook)
Usopp gift him a new pair of shoes he personally reinforced to make sure the cook could fight without getting hurt and without the shoes being heavy or impractical (he made them fireproof too)
Nami gifted him a new tie she personally picked to match with most of his outfit and a new suit too.
Robin gifted him a new book about cooking with a chapter dedicated to the all blue
Chopper gifted him the fairy tale book Sanji told he liked to read as a child after he found it while shopping with Robin
Franky built him an amplificator that let normal snail call all the way to the east blue (to hear zeff)
Brook gifted him a pocket ashtray and wrote him a song
And Jinbe gifted him some very rare ingredients he found at the market
