[EUR, AZAHAR] Why isn't the Gay Mod working on my game? I've tried putting code.ips in Azahar's Tomodachi Life mod folder, I've tried creating an "exefs" folder but nothing seems to work
It still says "Friendship Rating" :(
file dumping is done through an external software transferred to the 3ds via an sd card most of the time.
i recommend 3ds.hacks.guide for getting started, as they have a well explained tutorial on "jail-breaking" your 3ds, which will be needed to run external software and get the files "copy-able" for dumping.
here is the basic start on getting everything set up for the file copying: https://3ds.hacks.guide/get-started ; at the end, the tutorial will split depending on the program you wish to use
More on 3DS emulation. I'll check that out, thanks.
citra can emulate the base game and the all dlc, but i cant emulate spotpass and online stuff due to not being connected to the nintendo network that makes spotpass and online stuff work.
emulating using citra is very simple, just get the cia file for the games and dlc and have citrv run them; but modding is more complicated as it involves changing stuff inside the cia file.
hope this helps
I thought there's an additional step in there - "dumping" the ROM? - that older emulation doesn't require, that sounds like it requires an actual 3DS (which I still have) and some kind of connecting device (which I don't).
Still, useful information for that anon wondering about the preservation of 3DS DLC. Thanks!
