I measured the physical properties of the ALGA with the clo fabric kit. Super cool tools. Thank you AMFI that we can work with them.
I added the data into the EMULATOR in clo3d and created the digital fabric-> still need to add the texture( I scanned the ALGA with the Vizoo, but something didn’t go optimal-> will work on that)

RENDER
This is a render of all the 4 garments worn together and with a print engraved on the back and sleeves of the ALGA jacket. It doesn’t look perfect yet. The textures and drapes are not yet accurate -> it is really difficult to do that from home-> I hope to be able to use the Vizoo scanner and measuring tools in school soon <3
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT//ALGA JACKET
I made the ALGA jacket longer(to fit better to the under jacket) and the sleeves tighter at the wrist (to make the jacket more wearable).
AVATAR CREATION//
I changed the measurements of the male and female avatar to the sizes of my boyfriend and best friend. Because it was really difficult for me to work with the default avatars. Because I didn’t have any physical proportion to relate to. This makes it easier proportion wise, but it is much more difficult to design for real bodies than for the default avatars! Things easily look good on the default avatars, but on real bodies I takes time to make it work.

MATERIAL PASSPORT//FIRST DRAFT
DIGITIZING ALGA//
I was difficult to digitise ALGA, because I don’t have proper tools to measure the properties of the fabric. Therefore, I draped the physical fabric(58cm x 62cm) over a plate(16cm diameter) and took pictures-> I tried to recreate a similar drape in clo.
With the texture it was also difficult, because when scanning the fabric with a normal scanner it doesn’t really look like the actual fabric. Taking a picture is better, but with that it is not really possible to get the light even all over the picture-> therefore, you can’t properly create a repeat. So for now I went for the scan and hope to be able to use the facilities in school soon
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT//PANTS//VARIATION 04
I combined ideas from variation 03 and 01. On the base of pattern 03 I made separate knee panels. Instead of shaping the front knee panels, I decided to give them a little pleat to create the rounded knee shaping. To balance this I shaped the back knee panel a bit. I added some topstitching to highlight the separate knee panels. I really like the knee pleats. It makes an interesting yet simple shape. Â I rolled up the hem( just to try some styling)-> looks cool. To see a different variation the hem could also be gathered.
