So I’ve always liked to imagine my DJC OCs hanging out in a treehouse that’s around their neighbourhood :) I’ve always wanted to have a hangout spot when I was young & treehouses appeal to me as such, but I never had one & the only hangout spot I had was my neighbourhood’s playground, which is fine but a treehouse still sounds cool as hell

I like to see this treehouse as my OCs’ personal space in a sense. On the left, there’s a table where they can do their homework together, & next to the table is their stuff. The board with papers tacked on it are schedules, rules they made up & notes -- one of my OCs, WIllow, is a rlly organised person -- so I like to think that that’s smt she did. She makes sure that everyone cleans the treehouse every week, & also keeps things as organised as possible.

In the middle, it’s the cozy area where my OCs spend most of their time there :D There’s a whiteboard for doodling, there’s supposedly pictures they stuck on the left side, but I ran out of time so I couldn’t put any proper pictures in the final prod 😔 On the right of the board is a shelf keeping soft toys, books & board games. Then there’s right wall, which could be a little more interesting imo 💀 Originally for the ceiling, I just wanted to leave the glow in the dark stars there, but my lecturer wanted me to have some unnatural light sources, so I had to put in those lights. Imo it makes the house look awkward, but I couldn’t think of anything else that’s better at the time

Anyways, I’m neutral with the final product. There’s a lot of room for me to improve, like the lighting 💀 But overall I think it’s alright, I suppose? The windows definitely could’ve used a background & the whole place could look much brighter. But I was rushing to make it to the deadline in the end, so final improvements & touch ups ended up being a sad afterthought 😔

It’s 3D time >:) This whole post consists of my first 3D house and some concepts I’ve made for my final 3D project! The project basically required me to design an interior room or house and just model it out. The first room I thought of was a bedroom belonging to DJC Yena, but it’s a little plain cause it’s just a teenager’s bedroom. The second room is a portion of a basement that belongs to my OC Pastel Pix, a character from my story Into a Digital World. Pastel works as a weapon smith and she specialises in hybrid weapons, so I tried to visualise how her workshop would look. But since there’s guns displayed, my lecturer advised me to NOT choose this room cause modelling guns isn’t easy work 💀 and I am so, so glad I went with his advice, cause I was still learning a lot on how to use Maya and how to model a lot of stuff in general back then. I think I would’ve shot myself in the foot if I went with this room.

Then the third room is Marianda’s workshop! If you’ve seen my stories, you’ll know that Mari works as a fashion designer! I tried to design her studio but it ended up looking kinda small, and it was also rather plain for my lecturer’s taste 😔 So came the last room in the last slide, which is supposedly a concept idea of my DJC characters’ tree house! There’s a lot I’d change about it looking back now, but yeah I spent a while on this, and I’ll talk more about it in detail in the next post :3 Cause I’ll be showing the final product there
