Skills Portfolio Development
We have been discussing amongst us as to how we would like to present our portfolio. While a lot of them in class seem to be sticking to the traditional way of presenting a portfolio: in a file. I want to break away from it. I don't like the idea of repetition and I think files and folders are boring and make exciting work look dull.
So I've decided that I want to make a box full of postcard. Originally I would like the image to be of the work itself and at the back a little note to my course tutors answering why it's in my portfolio/my experience while making it/and why I like it and how I would take that piece further.
Also we did a 3D workshop, wood workshop induction with Greg but never really had the chance to explore that studio. So I thought it would be a good idea to make the box by myself using wood.
I've had a talk to Grego, the technician at the workshop and he has asked me to come with sketches and measurements.
