For my 3D project I want to make something basic and what I thought of is:
Some small fish swims in front of the camera (I like box fish, because it looks so funny and innocent looking), a moray eel or some other predator comes and scares him away and laughs, cause it’s so big and strong. A bigger predator then comes and eel runs frightened into his hideout together with the box fish. They come out a little bit into the light, looking at each other.
The last page didn’t scan too well, there are actually 3 fishes, but I’m gonna replace it later with better quality.
So for the characters I’ll have 3 characters (maybe even two if it’s too long). But there’ll definitely be:
- a small fish. I like box fish because it looks very stupid and funny and I want the animation to be quite light-hearted so I’d fit. Other fish I thought of were: smooth trunkfish, trumpet fish, bubble eye goldfish.
- a small predator or some fish that’ll scare the small fish. I thought of murena eel because I like the idea of murena coming out of the cave, it’ll be more ominous. Other fish I thought of were: red lipped batfish, flying gurnard, handfish, sarcastic fringe head.
- a large predator that comes at the end. I don’t know what it would be yet, but I looked at deep sea fish mostly, because they look very alien and mysterious. They are actually small in real life but their design is really cool. I mostly looked at: Ghost shark, viper fish, angler fishes, pacific black dragon, shark (of course) and an atlantic goliath grouper (because it’s huge).
