Help me, please! I want to draw a grid, imitating the floor on my sketch, so that it would be easer to place characters into the scene. But when I try to use a grid ruler and transformation, my grid doesn't look right in perspective. Any tips and tricks???
Sounds like you might find use Firealpaca’s 3D perspective Snap. It’s made just for these kinds of situations specifically. Try it out by going to the menu and it should be under snaps. you won’t get a very orderly grid maybe, on your first try, but you’ll at least get very correct 3D spatial perspective.
Here’s a tutorial by Obtusity. Here’s a nice exploratory tutorial on the function that goes a bit more in-depth.The tag on this blog which I will try to update with more tutorials on this.A video where you can see it in action more closely.
Another tip for perspectives without the 3D snap: just use the other snaps. there should be 2 meant for point perspectives and there’s on where it’s just for grids. Hope these help!
