sophias always loved dolls from as long as she could remember. she’d brush their hair, give them back stories and drive them around in pink barbie car even if they weren’t all from the barbie set she figured they could all get along, be friends.

she had bratz, barbies, monster high dolls and random unbranded dolls her mother snd father would buy for her.

when she got a little older, sometimes she would take her brothers’ dinosaurs, ramming them into car with a roar roar!! only to then grab one of the dolls outside the car “I’ll save you!!” pushing the t-rex off the barbie car and playing out scene mushing two barbies’ faces together “you saved me you saved me!!” making kissing noises and giggling

summer break comes when sophias older and in college, barbie bratz and monster high tucked away in a special place of her heart because she’s an adult now she tells herself she shouldn’t be playing dolls anymore. sophoa likes to keep jist on her breaks and she’s enrolled herself in a lyrics and poetry writing workshop that stretches the summer.

thats where she meets manon and those suppressed urges raise like a flood. beautiful curly hair and big eyes, face so gorgeous she stares.

drive manon around in her car and sophias thoughts wander while she watches her - animated and talking to small group with a little notepad and pen they all brought,

thinks she could take on a t-rex if it’ll keep her safe

manons smiling wide and excited while listening, eyes moving from small group to sophia like she was staring so hard she could feel her, it’s like slow motion when manons eyes find her.

It’s like electricity or magnets its instant and brief when sophia smiles back, both smiles growing before manons focused on listening again

ultimately, sophia just wants to mush their faces together
