One more day before the weekend begins and I think it's important to take the time to reflect of the week and life and remember to appreciate those to make life filled with wonder and who make you remember who YOU are. Johnny does just this. Even from 1534 miles (five or take a few) away he manages to make my days better, whether that means a phone call at two in the morning to tell me he loves me, or sending me silly photos of he and some of the friends he's made at the academy or a thousand other things. He goes out of his way to let me know that I matter and that he's thinking about me and can't wait to see me again. After a fun exciting and wonderful trip north I am finally back in the humidity stricken land that i call home...the past several days have been so wonderful, from the beauty and joy filled occasion of my eldest cousins wedding, to the fantastic lunch with cousins after church on Sunday, and the damp but thrilled filled day at Kings Island yesterday each day was fun and evident of God's works. Today after traveling all day and finishing 2 books during the 9ish hour car ride my devotion reminded me just how wonderful it is to delight in the simplest of things. Sitting here in the beautiful state of Michigan, getting ready to celebrate my cousin's marriage to the love of her life tomorrow. Having had a wonderful fun filled day simply being here and exploring God's majesty and relishing in his splendor I couldn't think of a better time to start this devotion.
