So…  Ace Attorney.  An interesting name for an equally interesting game, wouldn’t you say?   It’s not every game that can mix things like cartoons and legal proceedings together, after all.

What really interests me about it, though, is the fact that it takes place in the “near future” – about eight years in the future in my game.  I imagine that must have been quite challenging for the good people at Capcom.  Almost like creating a sci-fi game.

But apart from that, it’s not much different from the world you live in.  There are a few other differences, such as the influence of Japanese culture on America being stronger, and the possibility of something called “spirit channeling,” but that’s about it, really.

Then, of course, there’s the fact that nothing in it actually happened.  I never shot that insane doctor in his temple, Wocky never got arrested for it, and I never went to prison.  Not to mention I never really had a chance at becoming a rich housewife in the first place.  Talk about disillusionment.

But who needs money when none of it’s even real?  I almost feel sorry for all the other characters who risked so much for the sake of wealth.  Even if they had succeeded, it would’ve been nothing but fool’s gold, so to speak.
