Hoseok is slouched across your headrest, with one knee bent. He’s tapping away at his phone with a small smile at whatever his conversation is.  You take a step towards him and the movement catches his attention, his head snapping to look at you.

Hoseok’s eyes are slightly wide as he says, “You scared me! I didn’t hear you come in.”

Instead of answering, you shuffle over to your bed and crawl onto the mattress. Hoseok watches with a mixture of amusement and softness, as you position yourself to lay between his legs, your head resting on his chest. Your arms lock around his torso and you take in a deep breath, inhaling his warm scent.

His chest bounces along with his soft chuckle while he sets aside his phone. His palms rest on your back and soothingly rub up and down. “Long day?”

“Mm-hmm,” your response mumbled against his chest. You turn your head to lay your ear flat against his body. The low thumping of his heart is enough to make your shoulders droop as you let all the tensions of the day leave your muscles.

You feel Hoseok’s lips press a gentle kiss to the top of your head before he rests his chin there. His arms pull you close to him and you tilt your head up to try and catch a peek of him.

His eyes are closed, but his hands are still rubbing your back so you know he’s still awake.

“I missed you,” you murmured.

“I missed you too,” he replies, his voice just as soft. “It feels like home having you in my arms.”

Part of you cringes at the cheesiness, but you ignore it to snuggle back against him. Carefully, Hoseok rearranges the two of you so you’re lying face to face. One of his hands comes up to caress the back of your head, his fingers in your hair causing you to shiver.

With your face pressed into his neck, you gently trace your lips against his skin. Despite his impressive build, he feels softer than cotton and smoother than silk against your touch.

The feeling of your lips on his neck makes a soft, tired giggle escape his mouth and you grin against him.

“I love you, Y/N,” he whispers into the crown of your head, his arms tightening around you. His voice gives away that he’s close to falling into slumber. His breathing begins to even out and soon soft snores escape his mouth.
