❛❛ I'M going to take that as a good thing, ❜❜ the femme teased, glancing up from where she laid, head resting comfortably against his leg. the book she'd been holding was briefly forgotten as she turned her full attention on him. ❛❛ and you've done the same for me. it's actually kind of scary how fast that happened. ❜❜ she flashed him a smile and reached up to caress his cheek lovingly. ❛❛ . . . you don't think we rushed into anything, do you ? ❜❜

 ❛❛ NOBODY'S questioning that you can, ❜❜ the femme insisted, wanting to reassure her brother.  ❛❛  you've shown time and time again that you can. especially when mom was gone for weeks at a time, ❜❜ she added, putting more fuel into the fire so he wouldn't think she was questioning his abilities.  ❛❛ you've also taken care of me when i couldn't do it myself. ❜❜ those times were moments that she'd be forever grateful for because it showed just how big a heart her older brother had.  ❛❛ but i want to make sure you're okay. it's not a bad thing for the person who usually saves others to need help too. ❜❜

 ❛❛ WELL, you already know that taylor will be, ❜❜ the male pointed out playfully, unable to pass up the opportunity to tease him. it was a relationship that had been blossoming for years and those closest to them knew it, but steven had been a little late to the realization game.  ❛❛ after that, there really is a whole world of opportunity. especially when you graduate from an ivy league college like you will be. ❜❜ he offered steven a reassuring smile.  ❛❛ princeton's a huge deal, dude ! maybe you need to focus on the exciting part of it and not the worry. i know that's easier said than done, but you'll stress yourself out before you even get there. ❜❜

 ❛❛ TO what do i owe this surprise ? ❜❜ a smile spread over nini's features at the sight of steven, though she couldn't hide her surprise.  ❛❛ not that i'm not stoked to see you ! i'm just hoping i didn't miss some important event or something. ❜❜

 ❛❛ YOU seem happier, ❜❜ belly declared, partly serious and partly playful.  ❛❛ not that you weren't before, but it's different now, ❜❜ she added.  ❛❛ my best friend's really making an impact on you, huh ? ❜❜ it was still a little strange to her, but she supported both taylor and her brother.

❛❛ HERE babe, i made you dinner, ❜❜ taylor announced proudly as she held out the plate of pasta towards him. distance and schedules may have kept them apart longer than she wanted, but she was happy to have some time with him now. ❛❛ give me your honest opinion though, okay ? ❜❜
