"Go on, Chloé, you clearly want one." Sabrina nudged her encouragingly, noticing her benchmate begrudgingly watching the merriment surrounding the packet.

Chloé gave it a beat before rising from her seat and carefully making her way towards the group.

She quickly reached for one of the heart-shaped candies, tightened her fist around it without looking at its inscription, and scurried back to her place before revealing it, one finger at a time.

....okay. Yeah. This fic is never getting published and I'm not talking about the plot. But have a very nonspecific excerpt!

Though no one else knew it, Nino had arranged this for Adrien because it was the anniversary of his mother’s disappearance. When Alya and Nino left, Adrien wasn’t ready to stop. The distraction made him feel okay, and for one night he allowed himself to ignore his nutritionist and have a drink.

Marinette sat there beside him with a strawberry daiquiri.

“How was your day?” he asked, unsure of where to start. After so many years, he still hardly knew anything about her.

“Oh, you know, the same. I work as a tailor, so it’s just a lot of tedious work, but I like it.”

“I feel like I hardly know you.” It was the first thing that popped into his head, as drunken words so often tend to be.

“I feel like hardly anyone knows me,” she responded. He furrowed his brows; she seemed to have all the friends in the world, how could she say that?

19. Who is the easiest/hardest character for you to write about? Why?

Easiest character would be Marinette. I relate to her so much! I do struggle a little though, because sometimes i forget she's more confident than fanfic sometimes makes her out to be.

Hardest character is definitely Kagami. I've tried writing her recently and I was just so so so blank when it came to her personality. Would she be super formal? Would she be more casual? I had absolutely no idea so... yeah I don't really trust myself to do her character justice.

Other than Kagami, I think if I tried to write Luka (I haven't... yet) I'd struggle a little too. Since both he and Kagami are side characters, we don't get as much insight into their characters and little quirks, so I wouldn't be able to write him well because I wouldn't have a solid grasp of his characterization.
