8/10 - i tell my old friend and client all about you at some crazy meeting at Dave & Busters - You can’t believe i told her. I flet great to tell someone about you and why you are so great.

After i get back we go out to Momofuku Majordomo in the arts district!!! Yumz!

8/11 - We turo to Malibu. Go to the ranch market and beach!!

8/12 - The Roosevelt Hollywood and in-and-out!!

NYC

8/15 - Public hotel visit for the first time. Verycool japanese rooms. I could stay in that little pod with you forever.\

We look at apts together! Fun!

Things feel good (omg, i love when you ask me to put the plug in you)

We calm down on the weed and cocktails a little during the week.

While enjoying some great LA work trips.

Brooklyn magic on the 14th for Poolside and Hotel Delmano! What a lovely night! little stressful when you saw a co-worker, but an awesome show. Thanks for taking us!

1/2 - I take you to Blue Ribbon Wine Bar and have patte and spritzers all night - lovely.

1/12 - 14 - We ski Mammoth! I lose my gear and get pulled over... but so much fun! You’re amazing! I love skiing with you.

1/30 - MIMI CHENGS DUMPLINGS!

I’m consumed by you and addicted to “our out of control.” 

I want you to have pleasure, no matter what. 

We are out most nights - Wallflower, The Ship and usual East Village haunts.

2/6 - Photoshoot! Fun! You look beyond amazing. You wear the stones t-shirt we chose that am. Soho Grand was fun but you need to go early take care of Mr Dog.. 

2/22 - Love Ruffian with baby (even thought she doesn’t like me sitting near the window).

As we go deeper, I’m constantly questioning if we should do this - what if it doesn’t work out? 

I fear it will fuck up everything for you at work and i’ll be fired “me too” style. 

I really respect your effort at work and your ability to keep it balanced with the other side of us. We both deserve this.

The Ex has not invited me to spring break next month so we start to make lots of plans for more skiing.

I thought this would last a night.. or just be casual. but there is nothing casual about how I feel about us.. and against all my instincts, I tell you. 

My first trip to Miss Lilly’s!! they are teaching the bartenders to make the new menu - yumz!!

I have to go to SX to speak at the beginning of the month, but we make plans to ski while she takes the kids on spring break without me. 

Then our first major test comes out of the blue when I suddenly get invited to the kid’s spring break. Feels like it would be bad to bail on the kids, but this it kills any plans we had which is very disappointing. On some level I know this bothers you and reminds you of my no-show in SF.

On the last night of the trip she reveals - she had us under divorce surveillance on Valentine’s Day. 

This freaks us both out...makes us not feel safe.. 

You worry about work finding out. You worry about being called out by name in court. If she would hire a PI, what else is she mad enough to do?

I have to protect you from her at all costs.

it’s not a great couple of weeks, i’m really scared of losing you… 

i’m very angry at her… but decide confrontation might blow back on you and the best approach is avoidance and stealth.

We seemingly survive our first hardcore reality test, but damage has been done.

Still shell-shocked and feeling under siege from spygate, I try to adapt to someone actively fucking with us and stop using my phone and credit cards, which sucks... and i know it bothers you, but we manage to stick together. 

I get an android phone that can’t be tracked. We start using Signal to text. it’s like were spies now... but not in a good way.

The AOY dinner is the 19th - we hang at the bar most of the night.

You’re stunning. After the show, back to the dead rabbit. You’re bombed and hilarious!

This is a recovery month... after last months attack... 

can we make this work? do we want to?

On a brighter note, not sure either of us is ready for “introducing the old guy” to family and friends, but there is talk of it and that’s a real break-through from you not wanting to sit in the window seat at any restaurant with me (so I’m happy).
