These are just some of the weapons you’ll use in the game. A lot of research went into what minerals and materials would be available or used by the Inca.
One goal of this game is to have things as accurate as possible without impacting the gameplay or story. Part of this game is educational regarding this civilization. An example like they didn’t have money therefore there is no money in the game. You survive off the land and through trading at specific shops or Qolqa’s--storehouses on the roads.
This is actually my third time drafting everything in my notebooks (coincidentally of which I’m on my third volume of notebook).
This is one of those things I’m doing out of pure joy rather than “this is NEEDED for this game to work”.
I really like showing off sprites for items (and, if time is given, I’ll add hand drawn art as well). The game would function fine with my placeholders, but it wouldn’t be as interesting. One reason behind this is I really like the build up of “what weapon will I get / make next”?
Outside of the BITs system of stat-increases, weapons, armor, and accessories will be the main source of increasing stats as well as status protection / infliction and maybe other bonuses [depending what I can do with the engine--again, I’m not a coder].
Most of the past few days has been devoted to putting these into the database, making the “recipes” for them, and creating the spritework.
One of my dreams is for this game to be moderately successful so I could make an art book. This would include production notes, sketches, and finished art.
