Just a few days after Dutch game developer 2Awesome Studio had its Kickstarter hopes and dreams crushed by a fraudulent pledge — causing them to lose €7,000 in funding in the final hours of their campaign — things are looking up for the team. The studio relaunched its Kickstarter campaign for shoot 'em up Dimension Drive, and barring any repeated trolling, looks like it might find success this time.

2Awesome Studio's original Kickstarter campaign for Dimension Drive ended last week, thousands of euros short of their €30,000 goal. As the campaign was about to close — at the time, successfully, thanks to a €7,000 contribution — Kickstarter's Integrity Team suspended a fraudulent user's account and took that big chunk of funding with it.

The loss was heartbreaking and, worse, was caught on camera, thanks to 2Awesome's livestream.

Dimension Drive is now back on Kickstarter and, with 29 days left to go in the campaign, has already raised about half of what 2Awesome was seeking.
