I wish that they release the Manila pro shot video recording of the Manila production. I know that the 10th and 25th anniversary were also recorded and that the original Broadway production recording can be found in NYC Public Library. It annoys me to hell that they make all these recordings but refuse to release them officially and most hardcore fans resort to bootlegs on YouTube.

During an interview Rachelle said that Claude-Michel Schonberg, the composer, asked her to sing the song "Movie in my mind" with Lea Salonga differently. Claude Michel Schonberg approved what Rachelle did. I'm glad she added that riff. That was difficult to do and she pulled it off.

Rachelle is my favorite among the this revival's cast but I really hated what she did in the finale performance with Lea. I get that it's a special performance so they don't have to sing it like they do in character but the way she "belted" MIMM wasn't even good. She's good but she didn't need to pull that to show that she's good. It just really sounded really screechy and bad.

Finally listened to the gala. This is the first time I listened to the show in full and I'm really distracted by Eva's voice. I was really impressed in the parts when she really brought it but there are some parts where her voice is almost cartoonish. It sounds like when an older person makes their voice high pitched to sound like a young person. Idk. Maybe that's just really how her voice sounds in the higher notes or maybe it's just this performance but it just really distracted me.

Alistair and Lea had more chemistry than Alistair and Eva. I don't think it's Alistair and Eva's fault. I think they just don't have natural chemistry on stage. Shame because they seem to really click of stage. I guess their character selves just don't.

The fact that there is an official teaser video for the gala is making me optimistic that they do have plans to broadcast it on TV.
