Grogu picks the tree

Possible spoilers if you haven’t been keeping up with season two

Mando X reader X Grogu

Mando had known this time of year was somewhat important to you. Not for gifts but just spending time with each other.

And now with taking the kid to his final destination you wanted to spend what time you had with him and you wanted to make it special.

Mando had landed on a small planet for fuel and you saw the small tree farmer.

With some begging on your part and some coos from grogu mando sighed and caved in. He couldn’t say no to one of you let alone both of you.

So that was how you found yourself looking for the perfect tree with your little green baby and the “big bad mandalorian”. Grogu was in his little satchel for the walk. But was released from his pouch once at the tree lot.

He remained fairly close to you and his father, not moving more than 20 of his little steps ahead of you both. And he stared at awe of the trees around him.

All of them much taller than he was. And wider than his buir combined. He cooed at the biggest tree and touched the branches and it made him giggle.

As you and mando both kept track of the surroundings and the foundling. You talked about the perfect sized tree.

“It can’t be too big, we don’t have much space left”

“We would have more if the child didn’t have so many toys”

You could feel the eye roll

“ but it can’t be too tall either or too full”

“ what does any of that mean”

You paused looked mando right in the visor

“Have you.... have you never had a holiday tree before?!”

“ if I say yes will you stop staring at me like that?”

“Probably not”

He just shrugged and then pointed at a random small tree

“Grogu come look at this one?!”

Grogu ahead snapped towards where you were pointing and he gave the loudest coo

And ran to touch it.

It was just slightly taller than him by a foot and a half. Not much wider than mandos legs and he could see every branch. This one felt softer than the other one did.

“ I think the kid found one he liked”

“ more like one his size”

You giggled at the sight of the child next to the tree. It truly wasn’t too much bigger than him. He turned his head to you and cooed as if to say “this one, this is the tree”

And you went over picked up Grogu and he whined thinking you weren’t going to grab his tree. But when he looked back mando was holding the small tree....

It was all alright, mando had the tree, but he wanted to be with the tree and mando more than you right now. So he whined until you set him down and he ran

After paying for the tree and putting it in the crest the child and the tree were always near each other. You swore he moved it with him...

You can fight me lol but this would be Lil Grogus tree, it’s still small and seems like fun to touch.
