I'm baa-aaack!
We got home last night after a full day of traveling. The trip was nothing short of amazing and I will be posting plenty of recap posts & photos later today and throughout the weekend I'm sure. (Thank the Lord that I decided to take today off work.) My sleep schedule has been 110% bonkers, so please excuse me while I sit here on my couch at 3:30am and stalk some blogs! I've missed you all a ton and cannot wait to catch up!

Music makes the world go round!
What music helps keep you working hard during your workout? Â Is there a song, artist, or type of music that really keeps you moving? Â Is there a specific song that really pushes you hard when you want to give up?

Oh man, itâs so hard to choose three! Iâll go with three songs that never fail to make me push through the toughest moments during a run. I tend to go for high energy music for the most part, when working out - reggaeton, hip-hop, some pop.

Monday January 11th - Motivational Monday
What motivates you to eat healthier or to follow a specific nutrition plan?
My motivation to eat well is super simple: I want to be a healthier version of myself.Â
Do you cut out processed junk foods or limit what you have in the house so you donât eat when youâre having a bad day, bored, etc?
I do try to limit what we have in the house. I know that my biggest weakness is potato chips, and so I really donât keep them in the house. It works out better for everyone that way!
Do you still enjoy your favorite foods, but in moderation?
A lot of the moderation comes into play on the weekends. I know that too much restriction causes me to binge on the foods that Iâm craving, so itâs healthy to let myself have a reasonable amount of my favorite foods once in a while. Thatâs typically in line with social events, dinners, etc., on the weekends.
Do you have any tips, tricks, or strategies you use to keep less-healthy foods to a minimum in your diet?
A lot of my good food choices come from how I know Iâll feel after eating certain foods. If I know they will make me feel sluggish, etc. after eating them, and I can remind myself of that before I eat, then I can help myself make a better decision.
Do you try new foods or recipes to keep things interesting and not feel monotonous?
Yes! I love cooking new things, trying new recipes, etc. It keeps things interesting and since I enjoy cooking, itâs a win-win.
When you go out to restaurants, do you check the menu beforehand to limit looking at unhealthy options to resist the temptation?
I do! Checking the menu beforehand is the best way for me to get an idea of the options Iâll have and mentally prepare myself. I come up with a few options that I know will be healthy but will also not leave myself feeling like Iâm wanting more, even after Iâve eaten.
