I was getting a bit of summer fatigue but thankfully Koupen-chan's family fed me some nice hot curry with all the summer vegetables and then we took a day off to rest <3
I did buy the Bananza DLC on release date but I only just got around to playing it now. It's... fine?
I mean this game is Odyssey 2 so the immediate comparison is Luigi's Balloon World and yeah this honestly feels like it has about as much depth in the gameplay, just with a lot more rewards, except the rewards I don't especially care about. I mean yeah I guess a rogue-lite mode with perks and whatnot has objectively more depth than balloon world but tbh I don't think it really substantially changes the way you're playing the game and your whole objective to begin with is just run around and break things and that's not really a formula I think is enhanced with rogue-lite mechanics anyway. I didn't play it for especially long because the rounds seemed to go on long enough even after you hit your quotas to where I just wasn't especially entertained, and checking online to see just how far you can extend this mode I got the impression I'm not gonna get more out of it. Fuckin 15 hours it took someone replaying the same game mode to get all the rewards like I'm not doing that lmao. DK Island is neat but there's not a lot to do other than grind for statues which I also just don't care about so like lol.
Will say after seeing all my usual feeds blow up with excitement during the actual game release window it's wild just how little people seem to care about this DLC. Suppose it was shadow-dropped in the middle of a pretty big direct and they're asking for $20 on top of an already expensive game on an already expensive console for content that very clearly could've existed in the base game just fine and was obviously cut out to resell back at us later. Actually I guess it's answered as simply as that. Well then.

Accidental confession was actually cute and has me excited to see the next episode, although once that happens the show will be over so like lol. I'll watch more if they make more but I'm also not clamouring for more so who knows.
btw I don't remember if I clarified this explicitly but the only version of CrossWorlds I'm buying is the physical release on Switch and I'll then purchase the season pass separately and the Switch 2 upgrade when that releases, which is all well and good. Although it does mean that the people who preordered digital deluxe on other consoles are playing already and god I'm so fucking jealous lmao. I want to be playing it so bad.
