i sometimes wonder if other people experience feelings like i do. do they feel a burning pain at the back of their throat when they cry. do their cheeks hurt when they smile because they're out of practise. do they stim their excitement. does their anxiety close up their ribcage until it's tighter than those godforsaken ace bandages. do they feel that aching tightness in their chest, in their throat, when they crave something they're yet to experience, when they long for something More. do certain songs transport them to somewhere else, fill them with a different energy the people around them don't feel. does their head go fuzzy when they cross the line between sadness and depression. do they see blurry photos, amateur polaroids, and feel something inside them tighten at the thought of strangers' love. does the concept of being loved feel so unnatural, so out of reach, that they don't know what to do when someone is kind. or do they live happily, with a healthy connection to the world.
